THE IMPORTANCE OF RESEARCH

THE IMPORTANCE OF RESEARCH

In a society with rapidly growing technology, information is moving at an incredible pace every second. Research is not only the foundation of every article you read or piece of information you take in, but it’s also an essential tool for breaking down and understanding that information.

When reading this blog, I invite you to research anything and everything you encounter. Don’t just take our word for it. Too often, we watch videos or hear people say things without verifying if they are true or false. We don’t research; we don’t critically think about the situation. We simply assume what we see or hear is real.

For example, if you see a video of a person doing something and wonder if it’s real or staged, ask yourself: why would someone have a camera on this person at that specific time without their authorization? In music, when you hear an artist talk about certain crimes, think critically: if this artist were really committing these crimes, wouldn’t they be under federal investigation?

Even in something as simple as a product advertisement, critical thinking and research are key. For instance, if a seller claims you can save "up to a certain dollar amount," that simply means there’s no fixed number—they’re not guaranteeing anything. Similarly, if a promotion says, "You can win up to $500,000," it means there’s no guaranteed prize amount; it's just the maximum possible amount you might win.

In this day and age, it’s more important than ever to use critical thinking skills in every aspect of life—whether watching a video or reading an article. It’s always good to research. Everything in the world is based on some type of research—everything from the books we read to the movies we watch.

Sometimes, I even do research within my own mind, questioning whether my thoughts are actually true. That’s how deep research can go. When we want to make changes in our lives, it often requires diving into the unasked questions and uncovering the answers we’ve never been given. If the things we already know were enough to bring about change, everything in life would be perfect. But it’s the things we don’t know—the things we need to discover—that are responsible for true transformation.

Whether you’re navigating the stock market, betting on sports, or just looking for an answer to a question, I urge you: research, research, research. It’s the foundation of life.
